iQ Metadata Score logic is based on the below Metadata fields. Items are scored positively when fields are populated and items are scored negatively when fields are not populated or metadata items are not provided by publishers.
Some items are weighted higher than others due to metadata field importance (High, Medium High, Medium, Low). Weights are noted by the field names below.
Due to timing, updates to a title's metadata made today, may not reflect in the system until the next day. If a metadata change is sent late in the day, then it could be up to 2 to 3 days for the change to reflect in iQ.
Publisher/Vendor/Alpha Metadata Scores are only based on Active Titles. Ingram does not score on deactivated titles at the Pub/Alpha Level. Deactivated titles can have a Metadata Score however a publisher's overall score is just based on Active titles. Deactivated Titles scores will only show on the Title Information page or the Lost Sales reporting in IQ.

Edition and Edition Number are not scored against as it is not applicable to all titles. However, Edition and Edition Number can be found as fields in the Metadata Fitness Widget and Missing Metadata Detail report for publishers who need to be able to study and analyze gaps in titles that should have Edition metadata.
Series and Series Number are scored against however it has special logic that is unique just to series metadata. Series and Series number is only scored negatively if one of the two fields is not provided (one but not the other). If both Series and Series is not provided, item is not scored negatively. If both Series and Series is provided, item is scored positively.
Grade Level and Age Range are NOT scored against in overall pub scores/items scores however these fields can be found as fields in the Metadata Fitness Widget and Missing Metadata Detail report for publishers who need to be able to study and analyze gaps. Grade Level is only marked as missing if the Audience of a title is either YA or JUV. If a title is either BBY or ADU, grade level is not marked as missing. Age Range is only marked as missing if the Audience of a title is either YA, BBY, or JUV and data is not provided. If a title is ADU, and age range is not provided a title is not marked as missing.
A total score would be out of 26 current metadata elements and a perfect score on a title would be 100%.
Since some metadata items are weighted different, two titles with the same number of missing items can have different scores because the items missing for the titles may have different weights. Example show below:

Active Title Logic:
Active Title Logic is based on the Ingram Status/ICG Status. The title has to be one of the 4 Ingram Statuses to be considered Active.
