GAP is Ingram’s Guaranteed Availability Program. GAP combines both a stocking strategy and print on demand to bridge any period when Ingram has more demand than books in stock or where the normal replenishment cycle is interrupted. Publishers work with Ingram to identify titles for inclusion in the program and allow titles to be printed by Lightning Source to fulfill a firm wholesale order.
